Friends,
I am sooooooo sorry for the lack of touch for such a long time. Those last weeks have been very busy at work, I was there almost 24/7. Follow up of cases, the drafting and editing of the quarterly report, drafting of thematic reports (there are lots of specific human rights violations) plus the daily tasks. Desole Emilie, je voulais vraiment ecrire mais je n'avais pas une minute.
Anyway, here everything is fine. An agreement have been signed between President Laurent Gbagbo and the leader of the Forces Nouvelles, Guillaume Soro yesterday in Ouagadougou. Hopefully it will put an end to the current political crisis. We will see the developments in the next weeks. A new government will be elected probably with a new Prime Minister!!! The personnel of the mission will be reduced little by little. Meaning that first the militaries from Licorne and then the different battalions will leave and the civilian personnel will follow. Concretly, it means that soon I will have to find another job!
Apart from that, on the WE, I went to the concert of Amadou et Mariam, the blind couple from Mali. It was great. Amadou is a great guitarist. There were lots of good vibes. Patson from the Jamel Comedy Club was also there to present his one-man show so funny!!!! ;) On sunday we had a brunch at my place with some friends, it was very relaxed. We had great discussions, we laughed a lot ;)
I will be on leave very soon in Paris, yay! I am so looking forward to. I really need a break I am so tired. I can see bags under my eyes everyday what I usually never have. I have started to put anti-wrinkle lotion for eyes everyday!
Take care
Je vous embrasse bien fort.

Hold fast, you're doing a very important job even if it's a difficult one.
Take care of you.
